"Yes, please make sure he is working today," A man in formal clothing chuckled into his phone, "I think I found the perfect one."
After a second of silence the person tensed, “What do you mean he’s not coming in today?” He asked incredulously, “This is the one time Keith will go out since his Father wants him to meet a client. Arrange it.”
Keith entered the room and stood in the doorway, wearing the new dark-coloured sweater he had gotten the day before, "Didn't you say we were going somewhere?"
The finely dressed man moved the phone away from his ear, "Actually excited to go out? That's a first."
"Father wants me to meet one of his clients, I need to escape."
"Ah," He said understandingly, then moved the phone back to his ear, "We'll speak later," Then hung up.

A soft ringing came from his bedside table. Lus groaned and reached out for his phone, and he answered without checking the caller ID.
"Lucifer, sorry for calling you this early." His manager's voice rang through his ears, causing him to become painfully aware of his growing headache.
"Can-" Lus' voice gave out on him; he cleared his throat. "Can I help you, ma'am?"
"Yes, this is short notice, but I need you to come for a shift today."
Lus was about to say something, but a child's cries screamed through the phone.
"Just please be there today." With that, she hung up.
"Fuck me." Lus groaned, shutting off his phone and slamming his head into his pillow.
