Tony has had a pretty shitty last few months. First Pepper finally realized he was never going to be what she needed and dumped him. Now the UN panel is working on the pardon of Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes, the last two people in the world he would ever want to see. The sudden arrival of Thor and Bruce, crashing a spaceship into the forest around the Avengers Compound would not be an unwelcome surprise if not for the fact Loki was with them. Basically, watched Black Phone a couple of weeks ago and remembered how much I love the gritty ugliness of bygone eras, so here's May distracting her little brother after Tony has a bad dream.
May and Tony are trying to navigate a world where their parents aren't always keyed into their best interests. Tony's really starting to feel the brunt of the expectations on him.

The last thing Jason remembers before waking up in an AIM facility is a bright blue light and lugging his target's body toward extraction. Now, he's in a totally different universe without any idea of how to get back. With a group of people that seem just as messed up as him. Not that he's complaining. The redhead is pretty awesome and the WWII vet with a metal arm seems to get him. Plus, for some reason, he can't get the girl with the claws out of his head. Which is good because she seems to be on the same boat about him. If only he could get the kid to sleep and learn the definition of "self-preservation".
