Summary
When Kay Faraday's astute observation skills land her in trouble, she manages to bluff her way out of it by pretending she's a psychic, which works great until she gets hired by the police department to solve a kidnapping case. She drags her best friend and pharmaceutical salesman Apollo Justice along with her for the car and the moral support, and the two of them try to put together the clues, avoid the wrath of Detective Franziska von Karma -- who is convinced that Kay is solving the crime from the inside -- get Kay a date with the victim's sister, and find the culprit, all without blowing her cover. (AU of Psych the TV show where Kay and Apollo bicker their way through solving crimes just like Shawn and Gus.)
