Update: Rewrote the whole thing
They both met each other when they were seeking what they desired. One wished for power, while the other one wished for freedom. However, destiny would not allow them to achieve it that easily. Vergil stole her fate and bounded their fortunes forever. For the next 25 years they can't avoid each other as they both have to bear the consequences of their actions alone.

Summary
A prequel to my other work, Somewhere In Between, this is the story of how Kat and Vergil met, fell in love, and parted ways. Taking place in the Netflix DMC continuity. It can be read first, but it will change your experience with Somewhere In Between if you read it beforehand, as this contains the answers to several running questions in that story. Do with that information as you will, but I suggest reading it second.
