Summary
It starts, as expected, with Sam.
But it doesn't end there, of course. Because there are a lot of people interested in the news, although Luke should probably watch out for himself, because some people would have liked to be informed beforehand...
This is a two part story, first part covers the Saturday following immediately after Promise, and the next one will be the Sunday, when I get to it. And for those people who don't like reading incomplete stories, don't worry, the first part is a complete on it's own, as will be the second part :)

Summary
They don’t need big, grand movie-style gestures to show how they feel. Same way with words, no reason for big speeches full of promises as sweet and brittle as candy floss. They both like honesty better than fantasy life, even when in real life it’s a mix of good and the bad, rather than everlasting happiness. That doesn’t mean they don’t say ‘I love you’ or want to have those fantasy moments sometimes. But mostly they live an ordinary, honest, ups-and-downs life, where they just show their love in everyday things.

He left the bathroom door ajar, as an invitation, so when the shower curtain gets pulled to aside, it isn’t much of a surprise. That doesn’t keep Deck from wrinkling his nose when a brief gust of cold air gets in, before the curtain falls back to its place. He’s standing facing the wall but doesn’t need to turn around to see who has joined him. Only one person who it could be.

Deck comes to a shocking realisation during a mission with Hobbs, one he's not quite sure what to do with, but luckily he has a sister to help him out. Or how it all began - or at least how it moved forward - with a mission and bit of and advise from Hattie.
Set to time before Princess, dealing with the beginning of their relationship, which is mentioned in that one.

Summary
When Deckard first wakes up, the only indication of what is to come is the slight shift in the lighting. Normally it’s the golden Californian sunlight that spills into their bedroom at this time, but today that’s somewhat muted. He’s not sure what the weather report said about today’s weather, but he’s from England, he can handle a bit of overcast sky and so the phenomenon doesn’t warrant any more of his attention.
It's only later while driving Sam to school that Deck notices the dark clouds gathered over the sea and realises that a storm is coming. Too bad that Deck has a reaction to storms he doesn't really wish for Sam to witness...

Summary
Somehow and somewhere along the line of this somewhat bizarre life he now lives, the dangerous soldier turned to ruthless gun-for-hire Deckard Shaw went from that to the good guy. A family man. He’s no longer a ghost, or a legendary mercenary, now he’s Luke Hobbs’s Princess. And he was fine with that, even if he sometimes complained about the name – he has an appearance to keep after all. And then, all of suddenly, it just stopped.
Luke doesn't call him Princess anymore, and Deck tries not to get worried because of that, it's just a silly nickname after all, nothing more.
