这是他们心照不宣的隐秘浪漫，是他不足为外人道的渺小爱恋，是他夜夜入梦辗转难眠的少年心事。
“我可以…可以吻你吗？”他在询问沈文琅，也在询问那个年少的自己。从爱上沈文琅的那一刻起，他就开始努力奔跑，向着沈文琅、向着他的月亮，即使知道毫无可能和沈文琅并肩，他也想站得高一点，再高一点，跑到如今，恐怕……已经是极限了吧。[...]
他自嘲地想，平凡惯了的人是不能手握权利的，因为确信了沈文琅现在爱他，他就更想了解沈文琅爱人的样子，想在这短暂的清醒梦中多听几句情话，做些平时绝不会做的事。

月亮酣眠。高途伸出颤抖的手，轻轻捂住了沈文琅的眼睛，在他肖想已久的唇瓣上蜻蜓点水地碰了一下。

He had curled into that touch like a starving animal. He had begged to be treated kindly, and when Shen Wenlang was, when he held him with all the care Gao Tu had never dared hope for, his mind had gone frighteningly blank.

He wouldn’t survive it if Shen Wenlang remembered.
Not because Shen Wenlang would hurt him, but maybe because Shen Wenlang wouldn’t.
He’d pretend it meant nothing. Or worse: he’d be disgusted. Repulsed. Gao Tu would lose the only thing he had ever truly wanted, not affection, not even approval, but proximity.

When he returned to work three days later, he walked into the office like a ghost dragging a human shape behind it. A crisp shirt, a clean tie, every hair in place, the uniform of functionality. The costume of being okay.

It didn’t feel like a beginning.
It felt like a memory.
A truth he’d buried for so long he forgot it had roots.
The kiss was barely a breath at first. Just warmth, shared silence, the shape of longing made real.
Gao Tu learned how to breathe again, most days. His body still felt unfamiliar, like a house he hadn’t lived in for years. Some mornings, he woke up and stared at himself in the mirror, wondering when the hollowed-out feeling would go away. -
