   OR: The Witch Becomes Her Own Worst Enemy (in an Occupational Sense)

   Due to contrived and largely arbitrary reasons, the Long Quiet has ended up outside of the construct, unable to save the world and slay the person he was sent to kill. But the construct requires someone to fill their role whenever possible in order to prevent it from failing entirely. So, the task of "slaying the Princess" falls on to the only other person available... which is the Princess herself.

   This was a love story at one point. I'm not entirely sure that's still the case.

   Summary

   THE NARRATOR – You're on a path in the woods. And at the end of that path is a cabin. And in the basement of that cabin is a princess. You're here to slay her. If you don't... wait, this isn't the woods, is this already the basement?

   A role reversal AU where you follow the Princess trapped in the basement, with a certain narrator stuck in her mind. Someone is in the woods walking right now to this very cabin.
