When they came back from Amphibia, it had been everything she feared: tearful farewells, unsustainable promises to keep in touch, fear and anxiety building in her chest as she walked away…
But, as it turned out, it was completely unnecessary. While Marcy had been away, her dad had gotten a promotion, a last-ditch attempt by his employer to keep him there, so her family would actually be staying right here, in Los Angeles.
Now, four years later, with the social event of the year just around the corner, her two best friends want to set her up on a date. The only problem? Anne doesn’t realize that the person Marcy wants to ask out… the one she’s always wanted… is her.

“Good morning.”
Her breathing unevens as a pair of arms wraps around her body. Anne presses herself against her back tightly, sighing into the crook of her neck as she buries her face in it, taking in Sasha's scent; she smells like strawberry and honey, and Anne figures it's her favorite shampoo that's always present in their bathroom, and Anne never uses it but she thinks it might be her favorite as well.
“Good morning,” Sasha echoes, and her voice sounds relieved for some reason, as if the simple greeting managed to send all her worries away, leaving nothing but Anne, Anne, Anne.

Summary
Anne puts her hands in her pockets. Maybe she’s being unreasonable. Ever since she and Sasha secretly got together, they would always brush off romantic advances from others just fine. For the guys who kept pushing, Sasha even kicked a few shins.
If Anne wanted, she could walk up to Sasha right now and start making out with her. She knows Sasha would enthusiastically participate. She knows everyone would hear loud and clear: she is taken. Problem solved.
But why won't Sasha just do something first?
OR: When Sasha comes out as bisexual at their all-girls school, Anne finds herself getting really jealous of all the female attention her girlfriend gets. An emotional kerfuffle ensues.
