    Opening the thick curtains, she squinted as the sunlight flooded the room. It was a beautiful day. Birds were chirping, the sun was shining, and the grass looked a bit greener with all the flowers that were scattered throughout it. Izumi stepped onto the balcony and closed her eyes. It was such a nice day.

    A tiny voice inside her spoke. It’s such a nice day, it echoed. Can’t we be happy today?

    Another voice, a much larger one, replied. No. We are bad. We don’t deserve nice days, so we cannot be happy. It’s against the rule book.

    Izumi sighed. She hated hurting herself on nice days like these, but she hated not hurting herself even more.
