And there, immediately, is the first problem with being alone together.
Jiyeon notices a lot of things; and none of it is particularly helpfully: like the line of Hyunjung’s throat above her collar, the shape of her mouth in this light, the severe neatness of her clothes, the way she goes very slightly still when Jiyeon looks back at her openly, as if she, too, is beginning to understand exactly why this is such a terrible idea.
(Or, an AU in which Sojung, Hyunjung, and Jiyeon are an unlikely trio, and falling in love begins to feel a lot like betrayal—to oneself and to each other—as they find out the hard way that maintaining adult friendships can be, in fact, quite difficult.)
