Summary
JFK seems to be failing art class. It isn't until his teacher recommends him to the quite short and anxious artist, Van Gogh, that he begins to feel inspired. From Van Gogh's perspective, JFK just seems like another loud obnoxious jock who was unfortunate enough to be "assigned" for him to help. He may or may not have a crush on him but he's a pessimistic guy by default. Why on Earth would JFK return such feelings anyways?

“I-er-uh... I think this is yours,” JFK said, lowering his voice so as to not scare Van Gogh. The redhead instinctively projected his body backwards, away from JFK. He suddenly noticed the painting in his hands.
“Where did you get that…?” Van Gogh asked.
“I-er-uh… found this in the trash. I don’t know how it got in there, but I figured I should, er uh, return it to you.”
“Put it back where I put it. It belongs in the trash,” he mumbled.

Shorter Wong is a great many things, but discreet is not one of them. Perhaps his neon purple hair is just a manifestation off the brightness and enthusiasm of his general person, or maybe it was just the most quiet thing about him. These were all musings that Yut Lung did not pretend to have the answers to, but he did actually want to know the answer to why Shorter insisted upon staring at him during their shared Chinese History class.

He knew Shorter wouldn’t ever want to harm him; he was different from all of the men he had been forced to be with before. Besides, it had been years since unwanted hands had roamed his skin, claimed his body for themselves. Who knows, maybe he’d even like it. He decided he would try, for Shorter’s sake. He swallowed and nodded. “Alright. You can.”
Beneath him Shorter paused, his gaze that had traveled to their joined hands shot back up. “Are you sure?” He asked, concern lacing his voice. “We don’t have to do anything that makes you uncomfortable.” Yut Lung nodded again. Hesitantly, Shorter nodded back. “Alright. But I want you to promise me one thing.”
“What’s that?”
Shorter made sure Yut Lung was looking at him when he spoke again. “If you don’t like it or feel bad at any point I want you to tell me immediately, okay?”

Yut Lung wants to make Shorter happy by letting Shorter take the lead during their kissing sessions for once, but his past still has an iron grip on him.
