Summary
“But it wasn’t her laughter that stopped him cold.
It was her hair.
… A cascade of silver, cool and luminous, framing her face like moonlight poured over her shoulders.”When fate brings Section Chief Emily Prentiss and (now-)Professor Aaron Hotchner back into each other’s orbits, it awakens a tenderness they never truly lost.

Summary
"Her hug was almost unconscious; weak, tender, and cold.
Like in her dreams, Emily was too afraid to touch him, to embrace him as she had always wished she could- afraid of him dissolving slowly with her hands still lingering in the air and her desperate fingers trying to grasp any remnants of his fading image, reaching for any particles of him she saw flying away.
She knew that feeling well. Countless nightmares camouflaged as mellow dreams had taught her that. But now, he hadn't evaporated from her sight; he wasn't fading away, and she couldn't understand how."
Aaron Hotchner was forced to fake his death and leave his pregnant wife and child, how would Emily react to him showing up at the BAU almost one year later?
