“Beomgyu,” Yeonjun says, hard. He wraps an arm tighter around the younger’s neck, the other hand coming to ruffle up his hair every which way. “You’re fucking hot. If anything, he probably saw you now and regretted his whole life up to this point. Probably thought, shit, I messed up. Look how smoking hot my ex is now.”
The younger throws a light fist on Yeonjun’s chest, trying to get him to let up on his hair. “Shut up, hyung, you’re just saying that.”
“It’s true. It’s so true. I’m proud I get to be your boyfriend and make him jealous.”
Well. Pretend-boyfriend.
When Beomgyu sees his ex with someone new at a beach house party, he convinces Yeonjun to pose as his fake boyfriend in order to outdo the couple. What isn't planned, though, is how they'll maintain the lie around their friends for the remainder of the trip - or between themselves.

i am incapable of moving in from this fic, this little universe. this depiction of friends to lovers is one of the most realistic ones i’ve read. every paragraph, chapter, scene etc felt like a blessing to read. i love non-traditional abo fics. i loveddddd that it was always highlighted that even as their relationship progressed, they were still themselves. it was also so much fun to be in yeonjun’s mind- i find it less common in the fics i read. i love how he slowly came to understand his feelings, throughout each chapter he would comment on how he never thought about beomgyu in whichever way the scene called but his care for his best friend outweighed his fears. beomgyu would always call them magnets and that theme was woven throughout everything to the last sentence. ALSO this fic was hilarious??? i genuinely busted out laughing so many times so good.

"Yes." He nods.In which Sieun is hell-bent on breaking Wooyoung's heart, and Suho is a campus heartthrob who owes him a favor.
