   Summary

   The war between Britannia and Spain involved several generations of English and Spanish knights and soldiers. Sir José Pedro Balmaceda Pascal is a knight in the Spanish army. He is struck by an arrow and falls off a cliffside. He is saved by a young mother Sibyll and her infant daughter Lyra. Sibyll is an English widow who lives in a small isolated cottage. Pedro and Sibyll fall in love with each other while Pedro is healing. Pedro faces the conflict of fighting for his country or following his heart.
