The first time it happens, Blaine doesn’t think much of it because honestly, he’s been meaning to cut back on the sweets and stuff. He doesn’t fit into his jeans as nicely as before, he’s got a bit of a muffin top, and the fabric squeezes the majority of his thighs a little uncomfortably. There’s this little voice inside his head that tells him he can do better, that he will do better—so when Kurt gives him this look when he orders dessert when they’re at dinner, Blaine feels ashamed…But he understands.

Blaine’s always been the type of person who prefers to lick his wounds in private, to suffer in silence, to hold the world on his shoulders for absolutely as long as possible even though cracks start to appear from the weight.Growing up with Cooper, Blaine’s used to not being the center of attention—his brother was always loud and bright enough for both of them. And that’s just fine, he’s learned that he can handle a lot of things on his own, that he can solve his problems without talking about them.

One of the best things Blaine loves about Christmas is obviously decorating the tree. He’s not one of these people that does anything half-assed, so he won’t even purchase the Christmas trees that are pre-lit or pre-decorated.Sebastian always makes a face, trying to grab one out of the aisle they might be wandering down in Target because come on, it’s easier that way. Blaine smacks his hand before grabbing his wrist and tugs him towards another section I refuse to be a lazy Christmas elf, Sebastian.
Sebastian doesn’t get it, but that’s okay, Blaine will have more than enough Christmas spirit for both of them.

Sebastian hates having a busy work schedule but it pays the bills. It’s not that Blaine doesn’t understand, they both have high demanding jobs—time, effort, responsibilities, all keeping their New York life patched firmly together. They make it work, communication is key, something Blaine severely lacked in his last relationship (and well, effort, in Sebastian’s honest opinion). Talking through a lot of things helps, especially when hours run late and emotions run high.Series
