Summary
Frustration, confusion, horror, anxiety, sadness, and other emotions brought a strangled gasp from inside him. And it was because of Kalim. Silence filled his mind as he came to the most difficult realization he had ever experienced. The fact that he had never stopped caring completely about the white haired boy, made his gut turn and jolt. Everything he ever thought about himself was suddenly shifted and inaccurate.He pushed open the door and felt his heart stop in his chest.

Summary
As a child, Atsushi was so vulnerable that it’s almost too much for Akutagawa to contemplate. The frailty of his thin, bony body, the ease with which he bleeds. It’s a wonder he survived the orphanage at all.
But as an adult, even with the tiger to protect him, that vulnerability persists. While Atsushi’s body has grown stronger, his heart remains gentle and unguarded. It shouldn’t. It defies every truth Akutagawa knows. Truths about pain and about loneliness, and about the sort of thing a person inevitably becomes when subjected to enough of them.
In the abandoned clinic, Akutagawa had scolded Atsushi for his bleeding heart, but now, Akutagawa understands it as a miracle. No one would blame Atsushi for deciding he’d bled enough for a lifetime.
An Ability User causes Atsushi and Akutagawa to witness each other's worst childhood memory.
They both take it about as well as one might expect.
