Summary

Together, they embark on a quest to find the stone, in a race against Kastor, but they are not the only ones searching, for it is said that whoever consumes the heart of a living star will gain powers beyond all reckoning.

Which must be true, because having just lost a race against Damen for pink slips, Laurent looks him straight in the eye and says, “Double or nothing?” in a voice like vodka poured straight from the freezer.
