Summary
It had been four months since the chaos of the Danish court. Ophelia had never felt more alone, well, not completely alone, if the slight kick she felt inside her belly was any indicator. While she stepped off the plane and onto the tarmac, she was filled with a sense of dread as she gazed out at the vast, dazzling, precarious, and imposing landmarks that belonged to Rome, Italy.
In Florence, Italy, Horatio, having fled the tumultuous aftermath of Hamlet’s death, one hundred forty-five miles away, tried not to be consumed by grief and heartbreak. It was simultaneously enraging and saddening to see how easily he walked into the deceiving, warm arms of love. How he had let his heart and soul become so enraptured with one man who held him by the threads of his shirt over the cliffs of pining and heartache. Only to be dropped onto the sharp, jagged rocks of unrequited love below.
Little did both of these two wandering lost souls know that their love for Hamlet would reunite them once again. Their intertwined pasts would resurface and bring about new, alarming events that would all come together to reveal one shocking revelation.
