Summary
Haruno Sakura was a girl who knew her place. She kept quiet and only spoke when spoken to. She bowed in the presence of purebloods, muttering a meek apology every time she saw them.
She did most of the Slytherins' homework without a worry, dropping off the pages in front of the dungeons and scurrying off.
"Something happened to her over the summer," people murmured throughout the halls during her 4th year.
Uchiha Sasuke didn't pay any mind to her indifference, not even when Karin complained about her homework all year.
No, not even when Ravenclaw had played Gryffindor in Quidditch and had finally been able to catch the snitch against Uzumaki Naruto, the strength in his opponent's broom taking out his rival out of the game for weeks.
She only caught his eye when it was time to play Gryffindor.
Haruno Sakura was to be a seeker.
Easy win, he thought. As much as he hated Naruto, no one could compare to his seeker skills, certainly not a pink-haired muggle.
But oh boy, was he wrong.

But goals don't last forever, and neither does life when you're around Haruno Sakura and the souls that came before her.
