Summary
A drifter enters the stage of an utterly ordinary town in Kansas. Within it is an utterly ordinary boy: William Wilson, who dreams of a world beyond his family’s general store, and catches glimpses of it only in the stories he reads.
The stranger, however, quickly proves himself to be anything but ordinary. He’s straight out of a novel: golden hair, cowboy boots, a pistol in his belt, and a mutt at his heels. All he’s missing is a hat.
Will compiles the man’s life story in the pages of his notebook; A life story that includes its fair share of tragedy, crime, and romance. The last thing Will expects is to be caught up in the tale himself — especially in terms of the romance.

Violet and Nox are discovered by a staff member at Sugar Springs library, and put up for sale at Facebook marketplace. Chase finds them (thanks to Prunella's online presence) and brings them 'home'. He soon learns that it takes more than just a rescue and empty promises for a place to truly feel like home.

Summary
Travelling through a storybook enchanted forest full of strange magic, dim taverns, and MUDDY HIKING TRAILS would absolutely be enough for Chase Hollow—if Silver didn’t also think it would be a great idea for him to practice some method acting for his fairy heroine character, via tossing him into the book as a fully-realized, three and a half inch tall Tiny.
At least his travel partner for the story is Buddy, who has normal, human-sized legs and a normal, human-sized amount of body warmth for the cold nights. And at least Deacon isn’t there to be all annoying about how extra-short Chase is. And at least Buddy isn’t being, like, so totally weird about Chase being keyple size, because that would be EXTREMELY CONFUSING AND SUSPICIOUS, thank God Buddy has NO CONFLICTED THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS AT ALL, COUGH COUGH.
Well… at least Chase has someone to carry him.
