“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine, just a few scrapes,” Peter took his hand and used the leverage to pull himself up. “What about…” he trailed off as he finally got a good look at the person standing in front of him. He was tall, taller than Peter, with dark, unruly hair, and his eyes - his eyes were a vivid sea-green that Peter would remember anywhere. “Percy?”
“What?” the other boy stared at him with wide eyes for a long moment, looking him up and down before recognition registered in his gaze. “Holy shit, Peter?” Peter couldn’t help the grin that broke out across his face, throwing himself forward to hug Percy tight. They hadn’t seen each other since…sixth grade? Over five years, and Peter honestly never thought they would again.
