Summary
Sometimes Seungmin gets a little too immersed in admiring the prince, like now, and while he’s always alert and on the outlook for potential threats against Hyunjin, he doesn’t spot the tree branch in front of himself, and he trips clumsily. He manages to catch himself with his hands, but the twigs and leaves and other plants prick them painfully.
He hisses as he scrambles up, his hands stinging, and Hyunjin is quick to fuss over him, asking if he’s okay. Seungmin waves him off, telling him he’s fine and blushing a bit at Hyunjin’s intense and slightly worried look, but Hyunjin relaxes when Seungmin insists that he just chafed his hands a little.Seungmin finally inspects his hands to see that the stinging sensation also came from a small, thin thorn stuck in his palm. He pulls it out and a tiny drop of blood follows, but it’s not too painful or bothersome, so he doesn’t say anything to Hyunjin, that’ll only make the prince worry, and it’s Seungmin’s job to protect Hyunjin, not the other way around.
Or: Seungmin, Hyunjin's guard, gets very sick after being pricked by a magical plant, so for once Hyunjin gets to take care of him instead of the other way around.Series
