Percy sniffled, burying his face in his hands. It felt strange, being comforted like this. No one really comforted him, not like this. But he didn’t pull away. He couldn’t. The warmth of Oliver’s presence, the solid reassurance of his hug, it was like a dam had broken.
“And they’re wrong,” Oliver continued, his voice a little firmer now. “You’re not a prat, or a show-off. You just… you care. Maybe they don’t see it, but I do.”
