My Fandom Philosophy
1. I believe fandom has space for diversity of people, ideas, beliefs, and values. While I recognize that others may not share my beliefs - or even hold the core value of "fandom is for everyone" - I nevertheless choose to respect this diversity.
2. I choose not to use fandom for the furthering of political discourse or action. While there are political themes and social commentary in my fics, I do not believe that my writing on this platform will lead to meaningful societal change, nor do I intend it to. I save my activism for Real Life.
3. When interacting with others, I try to engage in good faith and with an open mind. I request that others return the courtesy, though I recognize it may not be (see Tenet #5).
4. I write for fun and relaxation, not to be bullied, harassed, or engage in values-based debates with internet strangers. If you have a disagreement with me - perceived or actual - I am happy to let it go. If you need to further curate your space and block/mute/unfollow me, please do.
5. I believe that if I attempt to police the behavior of others on the internet, I'm going to have a bad time. Therefore, I'm not going to try. My goal is a drama-free fandom life.
