“This feels silly,” Deborah says, once it’s finally on.
She stands at the end of the bed, watching Ava watch her from her position lounging on Deborah’s bed. The pillows all but swallow her up and she’s looking up at her with the sort of desire that makes existing feel like moving through molasses. Hyper aware of Ava’s eyes on her.
“You are literally silly for a living, you'll be a natural," Ava assures.
“You’re no help,” she sighs.
(Beyond this temporary embarrassment, Deborah feels powerful holding her attention, it's just as good as a sold out crowd.)Series
