Summary
On a fateful winter in '39, two men fall in love.
One of them, a cautious Army Captain, is terrified. Love has always been synonymous with fear for him, and he knows how much a slip could cost him.
The other, a curious Lieutenant, has had more experience with the stuff. He has known a community where people like them stood proud, and is adamant to show his Captain just how much this type of love can change a life.
A war rages on just outside the walls of Button House— and it unwaveringly seeps in through the cracks. The two men who fell in love in '39 must find a way to face it together, and come out the other end alive.
