“You are the prettiest French woman I’ve ever seen,” a soft lilting voice reached Fleur’s ears.
A hint of annoyance rippled through her, Fleur was not in the mood to be hit on today, by anyone. Lifting her head, she was startled when she found herself drawn to a pair of warm chocolate brown eyes that she hadn’t seen for the better part of three years. Standing before her in a pair of tight blue jeans and a simple gray button-down shirt was Hermione Granger. Her once bushy hair was now tamed into wavy curls, and she carried herself with a sense of confidence that reminded Fleur of her Maman.
Fleur couldn’t help the pleased smile that lit her face upon seeing the younger brunette, but she could see the other women in the cafe turning to see who had just spoken.
“That’s bold of you to say standing in the middle of France with so many beautiful French women around,” Fleur replied, her smile only growing at the sparkle in Hermione’s eyes.
