Hoshina blinked, frozen. His mind scrambled for logic, for reason — but none came. Because sitting right there, as if nothing had happened, was Narumi Gen.
Except… not quite.
He wasn’t opaque like a living person. His edges shimmered faintly, his outline soft and translucent. But it was him — the same tousled hair, the same casual slouch, the same impossible, familiar presence that Hoshina had thought he’d never see again.
