    Charlie could have easily taken off work, he knew that. He had only missed maybe two days in the three years he had been working at Bay Leaf Coffee House. He was always right on time, if not early, and offered to cover other’s shifts on his days off. Charlie, in other words, was the ideal picture of a perfect employee. So, when he came in with the worst migraine he’s ever experienced in his life, it would have been no issue to call in.
