Summary
Soulmates.
It’s a well-known term, both in scientific and literary circles. Kim Dokja isn’t too concerned with the functionality of the whole thing. What matters to him is the person, and the one hour he spends in their body each year.
But fate is sadistic, and Kim Dokja is only one puppet on a sea of red strings. He can’t help but wonder if this whole thing is a mistake.
After all, what kind of soulmate does a protagonist deserve?
(Or; Kim Dokja learns the worth of one hour, and Yoo Joonghyuk walks in his footsteps when the sun turns to shadows.)
-Fair warning, this may be more angst-heavy than the summary implies. My bad. -

Summary
He was a child then, blind to the ways of the world and free to love whatever he wished. The Guardian Adeptus came to him in a flurry of feathers and broken spears, loss and forgiveness, and Aether could not help but care for him.
Five years later, all has changed.
The ash stings his throat and eyes, almost blinding him. He wishes it would. Now, as he watches the sun run bloodred over the scorched, war-torn hill, he knows what it is that he must do.
————
“Very well,” Alatus said. His hands left Aether’s back to cradle his chin, pulling him up to eye level.
“From this day forward, henceforth and forevermore, I claim this mortal as my champion. We will breathe the same air, spill the same blood. He will give himself to me, and in return, I offer him both my protection and the gift of immortality.” Alatus’s eyes began to change— pupils blowing wide, lids slotting together into a tight, narrow-eyed gaze. He looked at Aether consideringly, the unspoken question hovering between them like the ash in the air. Do you accept?
“Yes,” said Aether, without a second thought, and then the Guardian Adeptus brought his face forward and kissed him.

Summary
In every game, Anna Croft has observed, there is a moment in which she sees it—and by ‘it,’ she means ‘everything.’
It can be any time during the game. It can be just as the slots start rolling, or in the middle of dealing cards, or right before her opponent shows their hand. Sometimes it’s the instant she sits down in front of someone new. Sometimes it’s the instant her next competitor takes their predecessor’s place. But without fail that moment will come, and it will feel like the world itself reaching down and peeling her eyes open with its own two hands, telling her: Here. This is what you need.
And without fail she deals the winning hand.
Anna Croft, Selena Kim, and their first scenario.

Summary
Not for the first time, Gabriel wonders what choices she had made in her life that led up to this. Had it been when she chose to keep her job at the call center working night shifts rather than follow Uriel into the music idol industry? Or before that, when she recklessly, impulsively decided to live with Uriel in one apartment when relationships between members of their college fraternity group began to fracture? Or even earlier, when she first met Uriel while they were thrown into detention for delinquency in high school together? They’ve known each other for so long now that trying to pinpoint one specific moment where Gabriel decided she had no choice but to stick with Uriel from then on would be impossible.
or: Uriel pesters Gabriel to go out with her. On a 100% friendly outing. No, it’s not a date, she swears.
