Logically speaking, there was no reason the two of them couldn’t spend the entire night thoroughly conceiving their first child. Their fun, like so many other passionate nights, started as soon as they crossed the threshold of Paradise Manor, hands wandering and mouths bumping in useless, noncommittal kisses. The divan they were despoiling, as well, was a frequent star in their antics.
Hua Cheng gave no complaint when Xie Lian impatiently sat back up, leveling him with a pout that better suited his days building foil palaces. He watched his husband’s deft fingers work the cork on a vial of fine oil, eyes tracking his movements the same way he strategized for combat. The gears in his brain turned obviously, thoughts coming and going as he considered how to get what he wanted.
