Summary: The Mate Development Department claims to match up compatible adults and guide them through the first months of mateship, for the sake of strengthening the nation and society. That’s the claim but everyone knows it’s really about rich alphas paying to have young, attractive omegas placed in their care. The benefits are clear, 18 months with a dutiful, pretty mate who must obey their alpha every whim, while omegas get 18 months with all of their expenses and debts paid, a steady allowance, and an enviable lifestyle.
Kaveh never imagined he’d be in a position where he needed to turn to the MDD but with his latest project bankrupting him he has little choice. It’s only 18 months, after all, and when it’s over he’ll return to his old life, debts cleared, with whatever he can save up in that time. It’s logical, no matter how much it makes his skin crawl.
