“Alright, alright,” Joe said, stepping through Cherry’s front door. “What’s the big deal you guys needed me to hurry over—” He looked up from toeing off his shoes and quickly glossed over the three boys, excitedly chattering over each other.
“Remember that old picture you showed us the other day?”
“Well, we were in a shop that sold fake piercings—”
“So then we thought for your birthday it might be fun—”
Joe wasn’t listening. With a quirked eyebrow, Cherry regarded him coolly from behind his glasses, mouth hidden behind his fan. Hair pulled loosely over one shoulder. Which wasn’t unusual.
Except, for the first time in years, his left ear sported two silver hoops and a cuff. With a practiced flick of his wrist, Cherry closed his fan with a snap, revealing a smirk and a ring around his bottom lip.
Maybe Joe's secretly always had a thing for Cherry's piercings.
And maybe Cherry finds this out the hard way (pun intended).Series

Summary
Kaoru is overwhelmed by work, hobbies, and the "kids" who have somehow become his responsibility, neglecting his own well-being until a panic attack lands him in the doctor’s office. Concerned, Kojiro plans a mountain getaway, hoping to give Kaoru a chance to rest and reset, and hopefully let Kojiro take care of him. However, Kaoru throws a wrench in the plan by inviting their "children” as a distraction, so he doesn’t have to talk about feelings, thus turning the retreat into a chaotic family vacation straight out of Kojiro and Kaoru’s nightmares. What begins as a disaster slowly evolves into a healing, found-family vacation, where Kaoru learns what helps him let go he, and that one of those things is he and Kojiro finally laying their hearts bare.
