Sirius laughed loudly and it hit Remus low in his belly, it was such a charming bark.
Turning to Lily and Remus he began to back up his mate, “Sorry guys, Jamie here was waving at me but I was politely ignoring it,” turning back to James very pointedly, “Sorry mate, I love you but I was a bit busy over there with some lovely tall bloke, wasn’t I? You know how much I love 'em tall.” He said this last bit while looking back towards Remus, and... yep, fucking winking. Christ.
[[The Jily part of this fic is actually loosely based on how my mum and dad met! which is a bit fun! they say write what you know, so here I go :) ]]

Remus tensed, sparing Sirius a scathing glance. “I’m sober now.”
Sirius quirked a brow in disbelief. Remus scowled at his nonchalance, unwilling to explain himself and scared that maybe, just maybe, the disbelief was warranted.

The cardinal rule of the London Underground is to never, ever make eye contact. It is a rule that, among many others, Sirius tends to follow despite his otherwise rebellious, non-rule-following nature. So the first time he makes eye contact with a human being in the subway comes as much of a shock to him as anyone else. Especially when he's unable to look away.
