   Summary

   With them, he didn’t feel the need to hide. He’s never felt the need to force himself to speak around Marlene, never feared telling Lily that he didn’t want to be touched, wasn’t afraid to tell Sirius that he was being too loud and it was overwhelming him. None of them cared – they didn’t mind.

   James didn’t start feeling like a burden for being different until the day that he got together with his first boyfriend.
