Laying in the park's field like this is a usual routine for Kara—one that the Danvers and the local kids have learned not to question—so it’s a surprise when Kara hears a breathy voice ask, “Are you okay?”
Kara hums in acknowledgment.
“Why are you laying on the ground?”
Kara opens her eyes ever so slightly. There’s a girl standing at her feet who appears to be shorter than Kara, with light blonde hair tied into a high, tight bun. Her blue knee-length dress looks like it’s dancing in the breeze.
“Can I lay on the ground with you?”

The mechanic isn’t just pretty – she’s muscular. And sweaty. And broad. Her shoulders are wider than they look at first glance, and as she reaches up to remove her hat and wipe at her brow with her forearm, Lena can see her bicep flex.
Lena tries very hard not to be affected by that, or by the adorable red line the ball cap leaves on the woman’s forehead.
“Hi! I’m Kara. James said your Porsche gave out?”

Needing to get away from the stress of her job for a few months, Lena buys a summer lake house in the most remote town she can find. She fully intends on keeping to herself, resting, and interacting as little as possible with the locals.
Until her car breaks down, and the town mechanic happens to be the hottest woman she’s ever seen.

Alex and Maggie are woken in the middle of the night by a loud crashing noise. Their training kicks in and they both roll out of bed, reaching for their weapons. Pausing for a moment, Maggie hurriedly pulls a shirt on while Alex glances around, noticing no obvious signs of an intruder. While she pulls on a shirt, Maggie steps out of the bedroom to inspect the apartment. Silently, she signals to Alex, pointing at the blankets moving in the living room. As one, they approach from either side, weapons drawn to find…
Nothing. Just a pile of blankets.
“What the hell?” Alex murmurs. Suddenly, there's a whimper from under the blankets and both women startle. Maggie quirks an eyebrow because that sounds like a child. Making eye contact with Alex, who raises her weapon again, she counts down with her fingers before yanking the blanket off.
“Is that Kara?”
“Oh my god.”Or: I'm a sucker for fics with Baby Kara and I wanted to write one with all of the season 2 characters.
