Summary
Lors d'une mission qui tourne mal dans les cryptes d'un temple Jedi, Anakin Skywalker se retrouve en contact avec un artefact qui le propulse dans le futur. Il se réveille à bord du Faucon Millénium, où il fait la rencontre de Luke et Leia, deux généraux rebels qui lui expliquent les principaux changements survenus dans la galaxie depuis son époque et qui promettent de l'aider à retourner d'où il vient. Anakin ne tarde pas à créer un lien avec eux, même si Luke semble gêné, voire tendu en sa présence. Que peut-il bien lui cacher ?

Après une chasse qui tourne mal, le jeune Dean Winchester, qui a du mal à assumer sa mutation à cause des traumatismes que lui a longtemps fait subir son père, se retrouve à l'Institut Xavier, où il fait de nouvelles rencontres qui lui apprennent à s'aimer tel qu'il est. Dean trouve sa place au sein de l'Institut, mais son passé ne tarde pas à le rattraper. Son père, persuadé qu'il est en fait possédé par une créature surnaturelle, est prêt à tout pour sauver son fils...même s'il ne veut pas être sauvé.

La vie de Dean est bouleversée après que son petit frère soit parti sans se retourner, le laissant seul avec leur père abusif et violent. Incapable de supporter le départ de son cadet, John Winchester se déchaîne sur le fils qu'il lui reste et va jusqu'à commettre l'impardonnable. Réduit à l'impuissance totale et persuadé que personne ne parviendra à le trouver à temps, Dean n'a plus qu'à attendre son heure. Il est surpris de se réveiller à l'hôpital quelques jours plus tard, Bobby à son chevet. Et le vieil homme semble vraiment sérieux lorsqu'il lui avoue qu'il doit sa vie à un ange prénommé Castiel.
S'ensuit un long processus de guérison à travers lequel le jeune Winchester devra trouver un nouveau sens à son existence tout en apprenant à vivre avec son plus récent trauma, mais il peut toujours compter sur Bobby et Castiel pour lui rappeler qu'il est aimé et qu'il a de la valeur.

Sam had visions of wings and water and light and death. So when Dean knocked on their front door like a storm-wrecked stranger, Sam stood back and wondered who had shown up at their house.
