Summary
The cat ears were Amir’s idea, of course.
Sasha, the bastard, had slipped the collar into his hands just before he left Omen to get ready. “You don’t have to,” he had murmured, pressing a sweet kiss to the side of Omen’s head as he stared at the sturdy leather in his hands. He dreads to think where the hell they had found something so obviously customized with such little warning.
And then he had left Omen all alone, with a collar and a set of cat ears and a fucking maid dress.
Or: Omen loses a bet. Sova and Cypher reap the benefits.

Summary
Cypher would argue that the first week after losing a loved one was not the most painful part of losing them.
He would argue it was watching their presence and memory fade away in the months after, and the realization they will never ever come back, no matter how hard he cries or how much he begs for her to wake up. It is too late.
He feels like he has lost himself. Cypher fears that Amir truly died with Nora; united in life and death. So where does that leave Cypher now?
