    Familiar sounds of wings flapping made him turn, Jimmy landed with a slight stumble against the Autumn air. The canary smiled at him, sitting beside Joel. He was in his full Coalmine gear, but he slid his glasses onto his head.

    “How do you always know when I’m coming?” Jimmy whined, leaning back on the cold concrete roof.

    “I’ve been with you long enough to have a Jimmy sense,” Joel smiled, looking at his best friend then looking back at the night sky. Pollution covered the stars and hid away the moon.
