Summary
Tommy had reached an equilibrium within himself since the whole catfishing incident. Yes, he was utterly, pathetically in love with his husband and would be until the day he died. Yes, it still made him want to run and never stop, but he accepted he couldn’t. Yes, their relationship had an expiration date, but he wasn’t going to hurry it along.

Summary
Getting drunkenly married in Vegas had been just as easy as movies and TV shows led Tommy to believe. Where reality fell short was how easy it was to annul such a marriage. It was, in fact, just as difficult to annul a marriage to a near stranger as any other kind. You could get married in five minutes by a knock-off Elvis in a twenty-four hour wedding chapel, but you actually had to go to court and sit in front of a judge to dissolve it. Tommy and Evan never got around to it.

Summary
She was starting to feel almost normal when Hap cautiously whispered, “Nile. Did…did you dream?”
“Yes,” she said, feeling a chill, “Four people in a boxcar. Three men and one woman; I just saw their faces and not their daemons.” She chose not to think about that cold, dark place. It was hardly an earth shattering dream. If she were speaking to anyone but her daemon she would have tried to dismiss it.
Hap let out a strained laugh, “I dreamed too. About four daemons whose humans I couldn’t see…”

Summary
Decades after Daryl Dixon was murdered a small fleet of construction equipment shows up on the ridge just over his grave. Bright yellow backhoes and bulldozers rip down the trees, level the earth, and a few weeks later a construction crew is swarming all over this patch of Daryl’s woods. They start in the spring, Daryl finds out the exact date when he spots an open newspaper with March 2, 2010 under the headline. Boyd Guthrie and the rest of the Savage Sons beat Daryl to death behind Willie’s Bar in the early hours of October 14, 1979. Over thirty years ago now.

Summary
Archivarius, the god of Thought and Memory, spends half of the year in the land of the living at the side of his husband Jupiter Magnus, King of the gods and lord of Knowledge. He spends the second half of the year in the Underworld with his other husband, the nameless and Forsaken god of Death. Mortals--particularly the recently bereaved--pray for his return and entreat him to persuade the heartless Forsaken to allow their souls to enter Paradise.
Timothy Stoker, who recently lost his brother Danny, decides prayers aren't enough.

Summary
Just like that Jon makes his decision. He won’t lose anyone else, won’t let Basira trap herself, won’t let Daisy stay in there any longer than necessary if there’s even a chance he can get her out. And he thinks he can get her out. If he can't...then he doesn't think it's a bad thing. One less monster in the world; and it's not as though this time he recklessly promised someone that he would come back.

Summary
Martin’s dress coat does little to protect him from the cold of Charmouth Beach in late November. The wind whipping off the sea penetrates his funeral clothes like knives, while his bare cheeks and nose have long since gone numb. His shoes are even more inadequate, plain black Oxfords that are still stiff with newness. He slips over the rocks and nearly twists his ankle over and over again, but all of that may as well be happening to someone else.

Summary
More knocking, sounding hesitant now. Martin gets jerkily to his feet. On the way to his door he grabs one of the bright red canisters of CO2 that he still keeps all over his flat. It’s not Prentiss, he knows it’s not, but if it’s one of Orsinov’s people the CO2 is better than nothing, if only as a bludgeon. He takes in a deep breath and peers through the peephole expecting to see something made of plastic or worse.
Instead he sees Jon stood in the corridor, shuffling his feet nervously.
AU where Jon and Martin confessed their feelings before the Unknowing.

Summary
Martin has only gone a few steps when he sees the Archivist in the corner of his living room. The Archivist is shrouded in darkness; all Martin can see clearly are eyes. Two on the Archivist's face and a multitude glittering in the shadows that stretch behind his shoulders like black wings.

The Lonely is not cold enough to kill; not cold enough to even hurt really. It’s the cold of an empty office in summer when the air con is turned up, staring at the sunshine through thick panes of glass. Still, Martin Blackwood can’t seem to feel warm even hours after leaving it.

Summary
Paul Rovia meets the love of his life on a cargo plane that is speeding toward Antarctica, where both of them will be living and working for the next five months. Later, the love of his life will disagree with calling this their first meeting, saying it doesn’t count. They didn’t really “meet” after all, Daryl says, didn’t introduce themselves or say hello. It’s a matter of semantics and it’s not a hill that Paul chooses to die on. Paul knows that the real reason Daryl says it “doesn’t count” is because deep down his best beloved is a romantic; and hates that the first words he spoke to his future husband were, “Fucking watch where yer going, asshole.”
Although it’s not like the next thing Daryl says to Paul—“Fuck d’you want?”—the following day is much better.

Summary
Aaron stared at him, “Who’s Daryl?”
Captain Rovia stared back, “My dragon.”
“You named your dragon Daryl?”
“He named himself Daryl,” Rovia said, lips quirking, “After a trapper he ate once.”
Aaron froze. “Surely,” he said, “Surely you’re joking?” He might never have only seen a dragon up close the previous fall but he still knew for the tame breeds eating human flesh was as taboo as it would be for Aaron himself.
Rovia’s lips quirked again, “I suppose he could’ve lied to me about that, but he’s not prone to lying, is my Daryl.”
