Summary
Maddie's spent the last four days decorating her house. It would have been one day—maybe two, tops—but between Jee-Yun's creative direction, Chimney's earnest efforts at untangling lights, and Robbie's singularly strong baby-fisted grip yanking down an entire string of garland, it's taken a while.
But her friends are starting to arrive and everything looks warm and festive, if not a little less put together than she had hoped. It’s okay though – this is her family, this is her life. Singularly wonderful.

Summary
“Whoa, buddy!” The man with all his working limbs says, bending down in front of Christopher, putting himself between the toddler and the road. “Roads are no fun for babies.”
And Eddie, as stated, already cannot breathe. When he does try to breathe, he’s sucking in burning flames. So it takes a minute to register that the nice man who just saved his baby’s life is - - fuck. Of course. Of course, it’s his hot new neighbor.
Or, Eddie is injured. He also has a toddler. His next door neighbor keeps them alive.

Summary
When Evan had left the ranch in Montana, wind in his hair and a familiar sort of heartbreak in his bones, the head rancher had given him a little paper bag as a parting gift.
“For safe travels,” he’d said, with a lopsided smile on his face that made Evan really, really want to stay. He still leaves, though, because there’s nothing left for him here, and there is still a world out there where things can be better, he’s sure of it.
In the Jeep, he opens the paper package, letting the thin chain slip into his hands. Hanging from it is a small medallion, flat and circular, inlaid with the image of a man holding a staff, a child on his back.
Saint Christopher, the note slipped alongside it says. To protect your travels.
Buck gets a Saint Christopher medallion on his travels. It changes nothing and everything.

Summary
"You should leave me," Jaskier mumbles. It takes a second for Geralt to parse out the words, and when he does he feels ice chasing the potion through his veins.
"Stop fucking saying that," Geralt says, and maybe he is angry at Jaskier - not for the injury, never that, but for the idea that Geralt would consider leaving him behind. For thinking even for a second that Jaskier lying abandoned on a battlefield to die is a price Geralt could ever pay.
(In the aftermath of their flight from the Redanian camp in episode 4, Geralt reflects on what he has come dangerously close to losing, and truly chooses what he wants to become.)Bookmarked by MultiFandomNonsense
