Pausing with wrapped chicken in hand, Danny stares at Bosco, who averts his gaze. He wants to make another signature J. Daniel Atlas remark, saying he can’t believe Bosco seriously doesn’t know how to chop bell peppers at his age. But a deeper part of him aches for how the poor kid didn’t have anyone to teach him how to cook.

The tight grip was immediate, non-negotiable, and searingly hot through the thin fabric of his sweater. It felt bruising. Rerir didn't yank, he simply held, anchoring Aether instantly.
"Ah-ah," Rerir chided softly, the sound dangerously close, too close. Aether hadn't even heard him move. He was suddenly right behind him, his body heat radiating against Aether's back.
