This one-shot is inspired by the Cold War concept of the so-called "red telephone", which referred to the direct communication hotline between the Soviet Union and the United States at the time. It wasn't literally a telephone (much less a red one), but rather a teletype hotline. Even so, the concept itself caught my attention, and I wanted to explore it in a more or less literal or representative way.
As an additional note, this one-shot does not intend to normalize or romanticize dependency in a romantic relationship under any circumstances; actually, it's quite the opposite.
Final note: the original version of this story was written in Spanish by me, so this version is the English translation of it (and kinda an improved version too). If there's any mistakes, please let me know nicely!
