    Izuku always grew up believing promises were the most precious thing anyone could give to another person. There was an undefined beauty in how delicate yet strong they were: never easily broken and binding in a way that the people who forge them never forget. As if they had created a red string that tied them to their word through the chaos of life.

    So here he stands: in a world where two powerful countries are at war tied between two conflicting promises. One to his childhood friend and the other to his country.
