"I mean, where does he get off?" sighs the brunette, removing his elbows from the table to take the darts handed to him.
The officer hesitated for a moment before letting him play, worried that his anger might get the better of his control and make him throw the darts at his colleague instead of at the target. He ultimately convinced himself that his crush wouldn’t do such a thing.
It seems he made the right decision, as the New Yorker finally turns his back on the object of his hatred to aim at the wall, continuing to complain.
"You know, coming at me with that redneck swagger?"

Carlos can’t resist turning his head to look at his partner. Even the street’s dim light at night can’t make him look anything but breathtaking as his lips stretch into a smile that makes Carlos’s heart skip a beat.

He’s clearly on the defensive. The Texan tries to give a reassuring look to the man from Chicago, hoping to put him at ease.
“‘Cause you’re coming out with us tonight,” Tyler says before opening the passenger door.
