This is a rewrite. I wrote the original story in 2019ish, and then got massively burned out and self-conscious. I deleted everything—even my old AO3 account, magicalmayhems. And now, four years older and a little wiser, I decided to start this story again. To be clear: I do not intend to abandon it this time.
