It was okay. Grief was never an unknown concept for anyone who had grown up on the dull cobblestones of Lumière, the city of mourning and eternal languishing.
But that Lumière no longer existed either. The cogs of their tragic story had stopped, time had resumed its course, and Gustave remained alone on the dock, staring at the vast waves that no longer needed to be tamed.
