Basically, I made up two characters (gems) and decided to have them leave their homeworld and live on Earth. One wants to go back because the other might be safer there and the other wants to stay because fuck homeworld gems, that's why.

Summary
One of the first things John did was to write up step-by-step instructions on how to conduct a proper job interview before handing it over to Mycroft for his perusal. There were no kidnapping, deserted car parks or stolen therapy notes anywhere on that list.
(Or the one where John returned from the war and ended up working for Mycroft as his personal assistant slash doctor on retainer. Everything was fine, until he was sent to post bail for one Sherlock Holmes.)

Summary
John has grown up hearing tales about the ocean, and what lurks just beneath its surface. As a child, he had even dared to believe them. Yet that was a long time ago, and John's belief in faerie tales have long since faded since he joined the war. Real life has gotten in the way, and slowly, the memories of searching for tide-pools on the beach are replaced with his sister's alcoholism, war wounds, and his parent's constant fighting. However, when John Watson has to make a trip back to his Gradmother's cottage and return to the edge of the sea, he finds more than just the ocean awaiting for his return....
With a promise long forgotten, a rather demanding and compelling creature appears and demands its payment in full.

In Earth dimension L-636, Rick Sanchez is a wolf, and Morty Smith is a goat. Of course, those aren't their names, as animals obviously evolved to have different naming customs than Earth humans.
Cowslip - Morty Smith of dimension L-636, so named by his mother after a yellow flowering plant.
Thistle - Rick Sanchez of dimension L-636 A lone wolf.
An AU of a movie and a book entitled One Stormy Night, in which a wolf and a goat royally fuck up the status quo by being gay as hell. This story is loosely based on scenes from the movie. While that movie was fairly friendly, with some mild peril, I straight up murder someone chapter one.
