Summary
Louis remembered screams, loud, piercing, and broken. He remembered lights of orange and yellow, he remembered how they danced in his vision, how they enveloped him in warmth.
But that warmth never stopped growing.
Flames. He was being burned to the bone.
Something in his brain finally snapped awake. He felt a heavy weight on his chest as layers of dirt and soil kept him buried, keeping him from escaping.
He took a clawed hand to the space above him and began to dig, if he kept going he had to find his way back, right?
He needed to get back, back to his town. Owen was still there with the townsfolk, enduring the same cruel fate as he had.
OR
Louis is alive but instead of finding Owen and his angry town, it's been 200 years and a new group has entered Oakhurst to find a curse that won't let them go and a monster roaming the forest beyond town walls.
So he pretends to be human, in hopes of leaving to find his love, or at least a new life.
