House is depressed, he tries not to show it, he doesn't want the team to treat him differently, he doesn’t want to be lectured by Wilson, he doesn’t want Cuddy to know how much pain he is in, not just physically. It’s Christmas time, everybody has somebody who loves them, somebody they can go home to. House is alone, and everybody knows it, aside from his best friend (Wilson) who has he really got? The pain has been getting worse, the pills are barely touching it anymore, sleep is non-existent at this point. House’s mind is cracking and he knows it's going to break; he's a doctor of course he knows. Still, he doesn’t tell anyone, not even Wilson. House is tired, so over it. House is just done…

Basically, a fanfic I started writing when I was ten but now that I have grown in my writing abilities, I have decided to re-write the fanfic and here is the first chapter, it is loosely based on the Zootopia fan comic when duty calls.
